    Brief Introduction on"Beidaihe Qigong Rehabilitation Hospital of Hebei Province"&"National Teaching Base of Medical Qigong"

    The hospital which belongs to the Public Health Bureau of Hebei Province is the first national Qigong therapeutic institute.The institute which covers an area of 126 thousand square metres is located on the famous summer resort-Beidaihe & the beach is less than 100 metres far from it.
    There are lots of green trees in the countyard , so the air here is fresh & clean. In the pine-trees there is a copper statue of Mr Liu Guizhen, the founder of medical Qigong in modern times & the famous medical Qigong expert.         
    The inscription-"Keeping fit scientifically, reinforcing body resistance to eliminate pathogens ."written by Chen Minzhang,the former minister of Public Health Ministry was inscribed on the statue base.
    In the 1950s, when the institute was established, Mr Liu Guizhen made use of Neiyang Gong in clinic and scientific research formally and achieved obvious effects. So he was praised & awarded by the Public Health Ministry .
    Through the past 40 years'clinic practice & scientific research, it was proved that Neiyang Gong was an excellent & effective Qigong method.
    Liu Yafei, daughter of Mr Liu Guizhen, inherited her father's work and collected merits of others. She uses medical Qigong (mainly Neiyang Gong) accompained with Traditional Chinese Medicine & western medicine to improve & invigorate the function of respiratory system, digestive system & nervous system,reinforce immune ability of the body.
    The effective rate for the diseases, such as gastric ulcer,chronic enteritis, diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, climacteric syndrome, hemiplegia,arthritis,cervical vetebra disease, diseases related to spine, gyropathy,cancer recovery after operation is more than 90%. It can also releave emotional stress , depression, anxiety and other mental disorder symptoms.
    Taiji boxing , as another method for recovery & keeping fit, combined with medical Qigong produces more therapeutic effects in clinic practice. Disciples of Mr Li Jingwu, the famous specialist of Taiji Boxing in modern times teach this skill here. In 1985 , "the National Qigong Teaching Base of Medical Qigong"was built by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Chinese Herbs in this institute .Many specialists of Qigong medical therapy,Qigong teaching & Qigong scientific research were cultivted here.At the same time the international academic exchange began.Groups & individuals from France, Germany , Switzerland,Austria ,Japan and other countries to study every year.
    In order to satisfy the requests of Qigong lovers & patients both home & abroad , the Teaching Base drew up a programme for Qigong treatment & Qigong teaching as below:
    1. Clinic treatment class: We use medical Qigong accompanied with Qigong acupoint pressing & massage,Qigong acupuncture,Qigong scraping,Qigong holo-graphic therapy and Chinese herbs to treat patients from April 15th to November 15th every year. One course of treatment is 15 days. The fee including lodging fee,teaching fee & treatment fee is $680 . The restaurants in the institute provide Chinese food & western food as well.
    2. Medical Qigong teaching class: The subjests in the class are Qigong methods, Qigong clinic ,traditional Chinese medicine,acupuncture & massage.The course of study is 20 days.
