Dr. Ma is acclaimed and respected in the international community for her expertise in medical Qigong. She has traveled to Italy, Hong Kong, U.S., Marco and other counties to treat patients with rare and complex eye diseases using her unique QiGong treatment methods.
    Dr. Ma is the successor of her father Dr. Ma Litang -- a life-long dedicated and highly respected Chinese medicine doctor, a Qigong grand master, and a famous martial arts expert who founded and created Ma Litang Yangqigong (a set of life preservation exercises) - the most famous and popular medical Qigong in China. The word "Yang" means nourishing and cultivating in Chinese, 'Qi' means the vital energy in your body and 'Gong' means exercise. Ma Litang Yangqigong is widely recognized and practiced in China.     At age 12, Dr. Ma began to learn traditional Chinese medicine, martial arts and Qigong from her father. After graduation from Beijing Economics and Management College in 1965, Dr. Ma started to work with her father at the well-known Ma Litang Qigong Clinic in Beijing to practice Chinese medicine and Qigong. Since then, she has acquired 36 years of highly specialized experience as a medical Qigong master. Dr. Ma has been accredited by her peers as a "megastar" and one of the leading Qigong masters and, her achievements in her field have been recognized internationally by industry publications and authorities. She has been an invited speaker at several international Qigong conferences, and has published several medical essays and books in her area of expertise.
    Dr. Ma began to focus on using Qigong to treat rare and complex eye problems since early 1980s. Based upon her expensive research and practice, she discovered that Qigong can effectively treat and cure some rare eye problem that other medicine or methods are not able to achieve at this time. She created "YangQi-Jian-Mu-Gong" healthy Eye Exercise). She also invented "Healthy Eye Hammer Treatment Method" (a method in Which a rubber hammer is used to rap and open blocked acupunctural points). Dr. Ma has employed her "Healthy Eyes Hammer Treatment Method" along with the Yang-Qi-Jian-Mu-Gong to effectively cure eye problems, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, detached retina, glaucoma, cataract, astigmatism, amblyopic, nystagmus, retina pigmentosa, macular degeneration, optic nerve atrophy, maculopathy. Her inventions were highly acclaimed by both the Chinese government and the Chinese medical Qigong community. Dr. Ma was invited by the China Central Television (CCTV) - the central government's official TV station to teach Yangqigong on national TV. This is the only Qigong program ever broadcasted by CCTV in Chin' Which is generally viewed as a national honor and acclaim in China. The People's Physical Education Publishing House -- the state-owned national publishing house published her book entitled "Yang-Qi-Jian-Mu-Gong".
    In 1995, she was invited by several Italian medical groups and schools to teach medical Qigong and treated patients in Italy. Since then, she has traveled to Italy every year. In 2000, Ma Litang Qigong Association was founded in Milan, Italy. The mission of the association is to teach Dr. Ma's medical Qigong technique and apply Dr. Ma's technique to treat patients in Italy. In November 2000, Dr. Ma traveled to the United States to demonstrate Yangqigong and treated many patients. She has been well received in the U.S.
