He is concurrently reporter of the Beijing Office of the Xinhua News Agency and a Beijing-based reporter for International Qigong News, Guizhou Qigong News, the magazine Chinese Qigong, and the English magazine of the United States Wushu and Qigong. He is the information secretary of the Chinese College for Advanced Studies of Qigong a guest coach of the China Wushu and Qigong Society of Beijing University, Deputy Secretary-General of the Beijing Shenzhou Research Institute of Qigong, council member of the Beijing Europe-Asia Research Institute of Qigong and Director of the Jingshan Office of the Beijing Research Institute of Qigong. When he was 18 years old Li Chunsheng studied the three-way zhanzhuang method from Qin zhongsan, a famous qigong master in China. Coach Qin taught Li his essential experience gained over his 50 years of qigong practice, that is, the Eight Character Method of Jing Mo Tu Na. Qin encouraged Li to practise Qigong every day and try to carry on the three-way zhanzhuang method. After Coach Qin passed away. Li edited and republished Qin's masterpiece Qigong Therapy and Health Protection. Li is the inheritor of the Qin style Qigong. Later on, Li studied systematically the 12-zhuang Method of Emei from Master of Law Ju Zan, Vice-President of Chinese Buddhist College. He also studied traditional Chinese wushu and qigong from Yang Demao, Wan Laisheng ,Liu Wancang, Wang Peisheng. Kuang Changxiu and other famous masters of wushu and qigong. In 1981 when there was a qigong upsurge, Li held a training course for the three-way zhanzhuang method at the Zhongshan park in Beijing, and over 100 trainees took part in the course. In 1992, together with the Chinese delegation, Li attended the Third International Conference on Qigong in Kyoto, Japan. Li was the editor-in-chief of such wushu and qigong works as Shaolin Wushu, Wudang Wushu, Dictionary of Chinese Gongfu and Damo Yijinjing and Shaolin Three Palms. Over the past decade or so, Li published about 1,000 reports on wushu, qigong and sports in the People's Daily, Beijing Daily, BeiJing Evening News, Workers' Daily, Qigong and sports, Wulin, Qigong and Science, Chinese Qigong, International Qigong News and other newspapers and periodicals. Li Chunsheng had contacts with the famous scholars of the older generationsuch as Liang shuming, Lu Dingyi,Chu Tunan, Liao Mosha, Wang Liqi and Lian Guan.They gave Li concrete guidance on many occasions. |
